PMO Chief of Staff meets visiting Fresno Mayor

Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office Lilit Makunts held a meeting with Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer and Armenian-American Diaspora figure Berj Apkarian, the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Fresno.
According to a readout, Lilit Makunts welcomed their visit to Armenia and emphasized Fresno’s role in the life of the Armenian community in the United States. In particular, the Chief of Staff mentioned the fact that a large Armenian community has lived in the city for many years and that the necessary opportunities for preserving Armenian identity have been created there.
Mayor Jerry Dyer thanked her for the warm hospitality and noted that Fresno’s Armenian community has a unique place in the city’s development.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on topics related to Armenia-U.S. strategic relations and their further development.
