YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. On the margins of the UN General Assembly, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, both parties emphasized the consistent development of friendly relations between Armenia and Cyprus and stressed the need to deepen cooperation in all areas.
PM Pashinyan discussed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, reaffirming Armenia's commitment to the peace agenda. He noted that 80 percent of the draft peace agreement has been agreed upon, and Armenia is prepared to sign the agreement based on the agreed articles and continue further discussions.
According to the source, the Armenian Prime Minister and the President of Cyprus also discussed the "Crossroads of Peace" project initiated by the Armenian government aimed at unblocking regional transport routes.
The sides exchanged ideas on Armenia-European Union cooperation. Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the consistent support of the EU in promoting democratic reforms in our country. Regarding the expansion of Armenia-EU relations, the sides highlighted the launch of the visa liberalization dialogue.
