Arab League Secretary-General described Armenia's move to recognize Palestine as a courageous decision

YEREVAN, JUNE 22, ARMENPRESS. Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed Armenia's recognition of the State of Palestine as "a courageous decision that indicates this friendly country stands on the right side of history."
Jamal Rushdi, official spokesman of the League’s Secretary-General, said expansion in the recognition of Palestinian statehood among the international community is a further evidence of a growing conviction that it is impossible for the occupation to continue. He noted that, the recognition represents an important step towards the creation of a Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967.
