PM Pashinyan attends re-launch of Victory substation of High Voltage Electricity CJSC

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan attended the re-launch of Victory substation of High Voltage Electricity CJSC of the ministry of territorial administration and infrastructures, his Office told Armenpress. The works have been carried out within the framework of the project “Additional funding for the project of electricity supply reliability” funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The responsible officials said the substation is important for ensuring the reliable electricity supply of Yerevan’s south-western section, as well as several settlements of Armavir province. The new substation will raise the power of electricity transmission line, the electricity supply stability of Yerevan’s downtown and southern sections, will cut the operation expenditures.

The restoration works of the Victory substation, constructed in 1988, began in July 2016. 14 million dollars have been invested for the project. Currently 15 persons are employed at the substation which is equipped with the latest technologies.
