Traffic restrictions to be imposed around Yerevan’s central plaza for Independence Day events

Traffic restrictions will be imposed in central Yerevan in connection with Independence Day celebrations, the City Hall said.
According to the press release, the restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. on September 21 until 2:00 a.m. on September 22.
Vehicle access to Republic Square and adjacent road sections will be restricted from the intersections of Abovyan and Tumanyan streets, Sakharov Square, King Pap Street and Mashtots Avenue, Tigran Mets Avenue and Khanjyan Street, and Vazgen Sargsyan and Khorenatsi streets.
City Hall urged motorists to plan their routes in advance, avoid the affected road sections and follow the temporary traffic restrictions.
Armenia will celebrate the 35th anniversary of its independence on September 21.
