Russia welcomes political contacts between Yerevan and Baku

YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, ARMENPRESS. Russia welcomes the recent high-level political contacts between Yerevan and Baku, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters at a briefing, reports Armenpress.

“We faithfully and I think, in a high-quality are carrying out our mediation functions. We welcome the high-level political contacts which were held between Yerevan and Baku recently. We have heard the constructive assessments given by the capitals, and think that this is the right path to move forward”, she said.

On January 22 Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had an informal meeting in Davos on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
