Armenian Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff receives delegation led by Pacific Council Executive Director

Lilit Makunts, Chief of Staff to the Armenian Prime Minister, received a delegation led by Kristina Kvien, Executive Director of the Pacific Council think tank and former US Ambassador to Armenia.

Lilit Makunts welcomed the visit to Armenia by the delegation led by Kristina Kvien.

According to the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office, Makunts discussed several priorities of the Armenian government, including diversifying the country’s foreign policy, sustaining democratic reforms, implementing the TRIPP project and taking steps to ensure lasting peace in the region.

Kristina Kvien thanked Makunts for the reception and provided details of the meetings and discussions she had held in Armenia in recent days.

The discussion then turned to the role of civil society in developing democracy and implementing public reforms in Armenia, the Armenian government’s measures to combat corruption, the introduction of universal health insurance and other topics.

Both sides emphasised the importance of steps to promote cooperation between the Armenian government and the think tank in these areas.
