Installation of new anti-hail method to significantly affect agriculture

YEREVAN, MAY 11, ARMENPRESS. The Government provided more than 75 million AMD from the reserve fund to the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the implementation of new pilot program on installation of anti-hail missile system, reports Armenpress.

Emergency Situations Minister Davit Tonoyan said the program will be implemented in Aragatsotn and Lori provinces. “By the Prime Minister’s instructions examinations were carried out in the field. The analysis of the current situation of preventing damages caused by hails reveals that it is strictly necessary to apply new anti-hail methods. The adoption of the decision will contribute to reducing the damages caused to the agricultural production and creating favorable conditions for the agricultural economic entities, increasing the revenues and overcoming poverty in the rural areas”, the Minister said.

The new methods will enable to use the existing agricultural resource potential and ensure production volumes in accordance with market demand, will boost the further development of the country agricultural field, as well as will increase effectiveness and competitiveness.

The PM attached importance to the implementation of the program stating: “We have great hopes in connection with the program. I believe it will have a very important significance for the development of agriculture”.
