Highest temperatures forecast across Armenia on July 3

Armenia is under the influence of a tropical warm air mass moving in from the southwest on July 3. The highest temperatures across the country are forecast for the day, with the Ararat Valley and Yerevan expected to be the hottest areas, where daytime temperatures will reach 34-36°C.
The forecast was announced by Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center under Armenia's Ministry of Environment.
"Beginning late this evening, the warm air mass will retreat southward, giving way to colder air moving in from the Black Sea region from the northwest, which will bring lower temperatures. As a result, air temperatures across Armenia are expected to drop by 5-7 degrees Celsius on July 4-6 compared with today.
Starting late this evening, isolated parts of the country may experience thunderstorms. From July 4 to 8, short-lived thunderstorms are expected at night and in the afternoon across much of Armenia. In some areas, they may be heavy and, unfortunately, accompanied by hail. Wind gusts of 18-23 meters per second are also expected during thunderstorms," Surenyan said.
