Doctors provided with food and medicine in Police station on July 28

YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS. On July 28 the doctors, who are being kept in the Police station, were provided with food, “Ambulance” CJSC Director Taguhi Stepanyan told “Armenpress”.

“I have talked with doctors in the Police station, of course, they cannot talk a lot, but it seems they are good. Yesterday we managed to give medicine for showing first aid. Today we will see what we are going to do”, she said.

In the morning of July 17 gunmen stormed a Police station in Yerevan and took hostages. Police Colonel Artur Vanoyan has been killed by the gunmen during the ambush. Colonel Aram Hovhannisyan, Lt. – Colonel Hrach Khosteghyan, Corporal Gagik Mkrtchyan received gunshot wounds. The hostages were released within a week. On July 27 the law enforcement agencies urged to take the two wounded gunmen to hospital from the Police station, but they were rejected. The doctors, who came to show medical assistance in the Police station, were taken hostage by the gunmen.
