Police justly used stun grenades - Parliament Speaker

YEREVAN, JUNE 12, ARMENPRESS. Special measures were applied fairly by the police in the Baghramyan-Demirchyan section, Armenian National Assembly President Alen Simonyan gave this assessment during the government's question and answer session.

“Dear colleagues, I warned you not to engage in this. I informed you that the goal is provocation; you succumbed to emotions. 

Bagrat Galstanyan declared on the street that we are assaulting each other here and directed people to attack the police. Following this, they began to break through police barricades in Lovers' Park, after which the police rightfully used stun grenades. All of this was organized and initiated a long time ago," said Simonyan.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, mentioned that as of half an hour ago, as well as an hour ago, the police of the Republic of Armenia have been carrying out the functions assigned to them by law strictly within the boundaries of the law.
