Deputy Foreign Minister, Czech Parliament's European Affairs Committee Chair discuss Armenia-EU partnership

On March 18, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the delegation led by Ondřej Benešík, the Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The parties commended the current level of parliamentary dialogue between the two countries, emphasizing the role of legislators in the development of interstate relations.

The interlocutors touched upon the opportunities for deepening Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing Czech support in this regard.

Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan briefed the interlocutors on the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. 

During the meeting, the interlocutors also addressed a number of issues on the international and regional agenda of mutual interest.
