YEREVAN, JUNE 12, ARMENPRESS. Security is ensured by the delimited border; the settlement of Kirants is safer than ever, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Wednesday during a question-and-answer session with members of the government in the National Assembly.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the ownership of the territory is determined by the state border.
"You asked how it would be if Azerbaijan were just a few meters away from the 7th-century church. I asked how it is possible that Turkey is just a few meters away from Khor Virap. Military ranks were awarded to the servicemen for the fact that they fundamentally served to secure and protect the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia," the PM said.
Pashinyan noted that security is provided by the delimited border, ensuring that Kirants, as a place of residence, is safer than ever.
