190 farming groups submit application to participate in sustainable rural development competition

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS. 190 applications have been submitted by farming groups to participate in the open competition of “producer group and value chain development” project funded by the European Union. “Armenpress” reports that the applications were received from 6 target provinces: Shirak, Lori, Gegharkunik, Aragacotn, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor.
The European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) is funded by the European Union. The program aims to promote sustainable development of agriculture in Armenia. The partner of the program from the government is the Ministry of Agriculture.
The program was launched in June, 2015, and will last 36 months.
