Armenia's President visits U.S. Library of Congress

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the United States of America, has paid a visit to the U.S. Library of Congress on May 6. The Library of Congress has recently been significantly enriched by the video and audio records and digital materials as well.
The Mass Media and Public Relations Department of the Armenian President’s Office informed “Armenpress” that Serzh Sargsyan toured in the library, got acquainted with the exhibits, including Armenian language materials and those about Armenia – historians’ records, ancient maps with Armenia, testimonies on the Armenian Genocide by Henry Morgenthau and others.
The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan had a brief conversation with the Librarian of Congress, Dr. James H. Billington.
Also, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the cancellation ceremony of the stamps dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
