Sargsyan leaves Anti-Corruption Committee after questioning

Former President Serzh Sargsyan has left the Anti-Corruption Committee headquarters in Yerevan after being summoned there by investigators.

Asked by reporters what case he had ultimately been summoned there in connection with, Sargsyan said:

“When we receive the case materials, we will talk.”

Prosecutors on August 25 announced that criminal prosecution had been initiated against former President Robert Kocharyan and nine other people, including former President Serzh Sargsyan. Kocharyan was indicted on three counts of abuse of official powers, two counts of accepting a particularly large bribe and four counts of particularly large-scale money laundering.
