Aram I Catholicos with pontifical visit left for USA

YEREVAN, 6 MAY, ARMENPRESS. On the morning of May 6, His Holiness Aram I Catholicos with pontifical visit left for US by the invitation of the Primate of US Eastern Diocese His Grace Archbishop Oshakan Choloyan and the National Board.

"Armenpress" was informed about this by the official website of the Catholicosate of Cilicia. His Holiness will visit the communities of Washington, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and the other communities of USA and His Holiness will convey his pontifical message to our nation's children.

Within the framework of his visit, His Holiness will have a number of political and ecclesiastical meetings. The first stop of the pontifical visit will be Washington, where the Catholicos will attend the commemorative events of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Numerous of bishops and priests will accompany the Catholicos.
