YSU has invaluable contribution to revival of Armenian people: Serzh Sargsyan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS: President of Armenia, Chairman of Yerevan State University (YSU) Council Serzh Sargsyan participated today in Yerevan State University in jubilee events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the YSU Faculties of History and Armenian Philology.

Public Relations and Mass Media Department of the President’s staff told Armenpress that Serzh Sargsyan first attended the Armenian Philology Faculty, watched the exhibition dedicated to the jubilee, talked to the teaching staff and students of the university. Afterward the President of Armenia participated in a solemn session.

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of foundation of the above-mentioned faculties, a number of representatives of the university’s teaching staff were awarded with state prizes and letters of acknowledgement for their contribution to development of the spheres of science and education and productive scientific-pedagogical activity of many years.

“Yerevan State University has had its invaluable contribution to revival of the Armenian people who underwent the Genocide and to consolidation of the Republic of Armenia,” said the President of Armenia in his congratulatory address.
