YEREVAN, MAY 30, ARMENPRESS. The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan is confident that the Constitutional reforms are need in Armenia. Armenpress reports that the member of the Professional Commission on the Constitutional Reforms by the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan stated this at the course of the professional discussion around the initial concept of the Constitutional reforms in the Chamber of advocates. “I would like to focus on the improvement of each constitutional sector separately. The bulk of the work activities of the professional commission which is not reflected in the concept, is built on the principle of the stage by stage discussion on what issues we have in the constitutional regulation, in the practical appliance of the constitutional regulation and whether it is not possible to solve the current issues by the legislative level, by the level of the improvement of law-applying practice. In other words, our main task has been to identify those issues in each sector which, by our imagination, are impossible to solve in the way of the improvement of the current legislative norms or practice. This was followed by the resolutions which will lead to the desired result for us,” the Prosecutor General noted. Gevorg Kostanyan added that the dynamics of the public relations in Armenia showed that by the current method, forensicprecedents, changing laws, resolutions of the Government it is impossible to provide the sectoral and group desired result which is really important for us.
