Number of criminal cases increased by 17 percent in Armenia’s Special Investigation Service

YEREVAN, JANUARY 25, ARMENPRESS. The investigators of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia examined 239 criminal cases at the course of 2013, while this number totaled to 204 criminal cases in 2012. In the result of this the number of investigated criminal cases was increased by 17 percent in comparison with the results of the previous year. The Deputy Head of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia Armen Nadiryan stated this at the course of the consultation held on January 25.

As reports “Armenpress” among other things the Deputy Head of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia Armen Nadiryan underscored: “7 out of the 239 criminal cases remained from the last year.” 93 out of the 239 criminal cases have been finished and 48 of them were sent to the court and 45 have been closed. 47 finished cases have been sent to the court with indictment about 78 individuals.
