If they impose, we have to fight: Serzh Sargsyan

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. Combat readiness of the Armenian Army is on a sufficiently high level, and the structuring of the positions corresponds to today’s situation. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated it in response to the question of a participant in the consultation on the security of the country after the consultation held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

“Armenpress” was informed from the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s office of the Republic of Armenia that the President underscored that the Armenian Armed Forces are not beyond anyone in terms of armament. “Yes, the sums that are invested in our budget are not so great, they do not reach billions, but I assure you that our Army does not lack greatly in weaponsandammunition. I say it does not lack greatly as there are few Armies throughout the world the authorities of which are fully satisfied with the obtained weaponsandammunition. Army is the organism, which requires new weapons, new ammunition every time. This is typical to all Armies. We do not want a war, it is obvious that we do not want, but if they impose us, we do not have other way. On the other hand, we will do our utmost to resolve the issue peacefully”.
