Yura Movsisyan and Aras Ozbiliz invited to national team

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS: Yura Movsisyan and Aras Ozbiliz have been invited to the Armenian national football team. As reported by Armenpress, this was published by the official website of Spartak.In the framework of the qualifying round of the World Cup the Armenian national football team will have two matches in September. On September 6 the team of Vardan Minasyan will compete with the team of the Czech Republic in Prague and on September 10 the Armenian team will host the team of Denmark in Yerevan.

Aras Ozbiliz was born on 9 March 1990 in theBakırköydistrict ofIstanbul,TurkeytoArmenianparents. In the early 1990s, his family emigrated from Turkey to theNetherlands. Five years later, he started playing football for the youth team of HVV Hollandia. When he was eight years old, Aras joined the youth team ofAjax. On 4 May 2012 press-service ofKuban Krasnodarannounced that they were in talks to acquire Ozbiliz.However, only on 8 August this transfer was officially announced. Aras was transferred for a sum of €1 million.The contract was signed for 4 years until 2016. On 26 July 2013 it was announced that Ozbiliz had signed a multi-year contract withSpartak Moscow, withKuban Krasnodarearning €10 million on the transfer fee. In mid-May 2010, Aras Ozbiliz was invited by theFootball Federation of Armeniato take part in the formation of the youth national team of Armenia. On 4 October 2011, on order of the President Serzh Sargsyan, Aras Ozbiliz received Armenian citizenship and became a player of theArmenian national football team.

Movsisyan was born 2 August 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijani SSR. After a few years his family moved to the US, Los Angeles area with a large Armenian community. Movsisyan attended and played soccer at Pasadena High School, and played a year of college soccer at Pasadena City College before being discovered by MLS scouts prior to the 2006 MLS SuperDraft. Russia's FC Krasnodar extended its appreciation to the Armenian national football squad and Krasnodar forward Yura Movsisyan for his quality work and wished success in his future career, the club's official statement reads. Krasnodar's official website likewise confirmed to have reached an agreement, with Russia's FC Spartak Moscow, with respect to Movsisyan's transfer to Spartak. Also, the footballer reached an agreement, with the Russian capital city club, on his personal contract clauses, and therefore he will start playing for Russia's nine-time champions in Spring 2013. To note, Yura Movsisyan had transferred to FC Krasnodar from Randers FC of Denmark in 2011. He played in 51 games, scored 23 goals, and provided 9 assists for Krasnodar.
