YEREVAN, JUNE 26, ARMENPRESS: The Drastamat Kanayan Institute for National Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has become the member of the Analytical Association of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on June 26. As reported by Armenpress, the memorandum of membership was signed during the Forum “Political and security guidelines in formation of CSTO military component” by the agreement of the Minister of Defense of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan and the General Secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization(CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha. The Chairman of the CSTO Analytical Association is Nikolay Bordyuzha.
The second strategic political forum “Political and security guidelines in formation of CSTO military component” is being held on June 26-27 in Yerevan. The Forum is attended by the Minister of Defense of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan, the General Secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization(CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha, the Secretary of the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Arthur Baghdasaryan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan, other CSTO representatives, the experts of CSTO military component formation from Armenia, Kirgizia, the Russian Federation, as well as the representatives of the diplomatic corpus accredited in Armenia.
The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a welcome address to the Forum.
The Forum was organized by the Drastamat Kanayan Institute for National Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Institute non-profit organization. The Forum is attended by the high ranking representatives of the Armenia’s Armed Forces, analysts, politicians, the representatives of the Embassies accredited in the Republic of Armenia, etc.
