YEREVAN, AUGUST 3, ARMENPRESS: The matches of the third qualification round of “Europe League” European football tournament finished yesterday. Members of Armenian national football team Gevorg Ghazaryan and Artak Yedigaryan with their team “Metalurg” Donetsk played draw with Norwegian club Tromso. Another member of Armenian national team Karlen Mkrtchyan did not take part in the match because of nose injury.
Armenpress retorts that “Victoria” Plzen where plays another Armenian player Edgar Malakyan, defected Polish team “Rukhin” 2:0. Malakyan did not take part in the match.
Both teams will play their response matches on August 9.
The UEFA Europe League, previously called the UEFA Cup, is an annual association football cup competition organised by UEFA since 1971 for eligible European football clubs. It is the second most prestigious European club football contest after the UEFA Champions League.
