YEREVAN, MARCH 13, ARMENPRESS. The Vicar of Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople Aram Ateshyan presented Armenian requirements and the expectations of non Muslims connected with the Turkish Constitution to the Turkish Mejlis, "Armenpress" reports citing Turkish "Hürriyet" daily.
Presenting his drafts to the Constitutional commission, Ateshyan expressed hope that the country's mother law will be as warm, compassionate and conscientious as real mothers are. "We want to see a mother who does not discriminate between her children and will treat them equally", the Vicar of the Patriarch said.
Aram Ateshyan, who was hosted by the subcommittee to study civil society organizations along with his assistants, told the MPs, "Armenians are the children of this land. We do not want to be remembered as foreigners".
