Members of the Armenian parliament visited today Gyumri to commemorate the victims of the 1988 earthquake. Member of the RPA faction Sukias Avetisyan said that the National Assembly is trying to legislatively regulate the sphere necessary for the solution of issues of the disaster zone. Besides, with the money allocated from the state budget the issue of the homeless people is being solved.
"The prior issue for us remains the issue of jobs, the solution of which will noticeably improve the social condition of the residents. In connection with it, the National Assembly has adopted a law on free economic zones where a clear issue has been put: to have such a zone in Gyumri to promote the creation of jobs there," he stressed, reminding about the program of creation of techno-park in Gyumri which will be an additional impetus for the investments. "Today is a commemoration day and every Armenia should remember and mourn. With our work we must be able to cure the wounds still existing in the disaster zone," Avetisyan noted.
