The participants of the 7th symposium of artists wrapped up their work June 12 in Gyumri.
The artists' festival organized for already the second year on the initiative of the chairman of the "Pyunik" all-Armenian foundation Levon Sargsyan and chairman of the "Lorva Dzor" national association Sergo Yeritsyan gives an opportunity to the artists of the republic organize mobile gatherings in different provinces, which is not only a way to expand the personal collections but contact with each other. During the previous years such like gatherings were conducted in Artsakh, Lori, Syunik, Vayots Dzor.
Visiting Gyumri and a number of the regions of Shirak June 6-12 the artists got an opportunity to create Shirak landscapes. For four days they worked in different sectors of Gyumri, they were in Haritch, Jajur, Akhuryan and borderline zone.
Head of the symposium Gagik Avetisyan told Armenpress that the greatest achievement of the symposium is the participation of artists of different generations in it.
"The oldest participant of the event is distinguished artist Armen Atayan who saw Saryan and Tadevosyan, and the youngest is newly graduated student who worked perfectly with us. The final results of the symposium will be seen in August at the international festival of artists during which together with the Armenian painters the ones from Russia will create new works that will be presented September 21 in Yerevan and then in Gyumri", Gagik Avetisyan said.
