A water spring was found in the territory of Yeghvard community, Kapan region, which may completely solve the water issue of the village. Currently the water supply is being ensured by 5km-long water pipeline the volume of which hardly satisfies the solution of home issues.
"For watering the cattle the farmers have to take them to the spring below the village", head of the community Spartak Zakaryan told Armenpress correspondent in Syunik.
Till 90s Yeghvard had irrigation water but the pomp supplying water to the village has gone wrong and the village was deprived of the irrigation water. For solving the issue it was necessary to find new water spring. It has been done with the help of specialists invited from Nagorno Karabakh through special devices.
Final studies of the quantity of the water will be done in August after which the construction of water pipeline will start. About 30 million AMD will be necessary for the construction of the new pipeline. The head of the community expressed conviction that sponsors will be found for the construction and in short period of time the water pipeline will be built and solve the water supply issue in the village.
