Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his party’s victory in the parliamentary elections.
According to the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office, the message reads:
“I am pleased to extend to Your Excellency my sincere congratulations on your party’s victory in the parliamentary elections.
This victory reflects the confidence of the friendly Armenian people in your leadership and your vision as they move forward to realise their aspirations for development, stability and prosperity.
I wish Your Excellency continued success in leading the friendly Republic of Armenia towards further progress and prosperity.
I take this opportunity to reaffirm that Egypt is proud of the deeply rooted historical relations and the special bonds of friendship that unite our two countries. We remain committed to continuing our joint efforts to elevate bilateral cooperation across various fields and to further develop the growing positive momentum in our relations for the benefit of our two friendly peoples.
I fondly recall my visit to your friendly country in January 2023, the outcomes of which reflected the shared political will of our two peoples to strengthen our partnership and open new horizons for cooperation in various fields.
I also recall with appreciation your visit to Egypt in March 2024, which provided an important opportunity to review the progress achieved in bilateral cooperation and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest. In this regard, I would also like to commend the important role of the Armenian community in Egypt as a cultural and human bridge between our two friendly peoples.
I look forward to continuing our close cooperation and coordination in the period ahead, further strengthening Egyptian-Armenian relations and bilateral partnership, and advancing progress and prosperity for our two friendly peoples.”
