Pashinyan congratulates Chinese president, premier on national day

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent congratulatory letters to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

The letter addressed to President Xi Jinping reads:

“I warmly congratulate you and extend my best wishes to you and the friendly people of China on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Over the past decades, China has registered achievements of historic significance, which testify to the consistent work, creative potential and forward-looking vision for development of the Chinese people, strengthening the country’s important role and reputation on the international stage. I note with particular satisfaction that the high-level political dialogue and multifaceted cooperation formed between Armenia and China have grown into a strategic partnership, which is successfully developing today in all areas of mutual interest. I am confident that through joint efforts we will continue to register new achievements for the benefit of our countries and peoples. I wish you good health and new successes, and the friendly people of China lasting prosperity and progress.”

The message addressed to the Premier reads:

“Please accept my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday—the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Over the past decades, China has traversed a significant path of strengthening and developing its statehood and today plays an important role in the global development agenda through its economic potential, scientific and technological capabilities and international engagement. I am pleased to note that relations between Armenia and China, anchored in mutual respect and trust, have reached a new level in recent years, acquiring strategic content. I am confident that through consistent joint work, we will continue to deepen our partnership for the benefit of our countries and peoples. Taking this opportunity, I wish you every success, and peace, lasting progress and new achievements to friendly China.”
