Armenian Deputy FM, Indian top general laud growing ties

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan held a meeting with Chief of Defense Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan, during the latter’s official visit to Armenia.
The meeting focused on a broad range of bilateral agenda items, with both sides praising the dynamically developing Armenia–India relations, the foreign ministry said in a readout.
Deputy Foreign Minister Abisoghomonyan presented Armenia’s foreign policy priorities and the country’s efforts to ensure security and further institutionalize peace in the South Caucasus.
The parties also exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
Earlier, the Indian general met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, and his Armenian counterpart, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Edward Asryan.
