An Armenian business delegation will travel to Kazakhstan to discuss opportunities for deepening bilateral economic partnership, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said when asked to comment on the outcomes of his official trip to the Central Asian nation.
“I highly value that Armenia’s relations with Kazakhstan have developed and reached the level of a strategic partnership, and this partnership has also produced very concrete results, some of which were a bit unexpected,” Pashinyan said after the Cabinet meeting.
“The fact that we now have the opportunity for a railway connection with Kazakhstan also expands our possibilities,” Pashinyan added, referring to railway cargo shipments from Kazakhstan via Azerbaijan and Georgia.
“In the near future, we have agreed that a delegation of business representatives will travel to Kazakhstan to explore areas where economic cooperation can be deepened,” the Prime Minister said.
Pashinyan noted that political dialogue with Kazakhstan remains at a high level. He also expressed his gratitude to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for awarding him Kazakhstan’s highest honor.
“This is truly a great honor for me and a significant recognition, for which I am deeply grateful,” Pashinyan said.
On November 21, President Tokayev bestowed upon Prime Minister Pashinyan the Order of the Golden Eagle, the highest state award of Kazakhstan, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of Kazakh-Armenian relations.
