Gevorg Papoyan meets Al-Futtaim Group representatives in Dubai

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with representatives of Al-Futtaim Group in Dubai, Papoyan said in a post on his Facebook page.

Gohar Abajyan, CEO of Enterprise Armenia, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the minister presented Armenia’s favourable investment and business environment, the country’s competitive advantages and investment potential, highlighting the importance of expanding cooperation with international partners and attracting new investment projects.

The sides then exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in Armenia by drawing on Al-Futtaim Group’s extensive international experience and professional expertise, particularly opportunities for presenting IKEA’s manufacturing and commercial potential in Armenia.

The sides also discussed prospects for implementing mutually beneficial investment initiatives and further developing cooperation.

Al-Futtaim Group is a company with a history spanning more than 90 years, whose operations cover several key sectors, including the automotive industry, retail, real estate, financial services, healthcare and education. The company operates in more than 20 countries and employs more than 40,000 people. Its portfolio includes more than 200 international and proprietary brands.

The meeting was also attended by Vardges Hovsepyan, Chargé d’Affaires of the Armenian Embassy in the UAE; Artak Avetisyan, Consul General of Armenia in Dubai; and Hayk Mkhitaryan, Economic Adviser to the Armenian Ambassador to the UAE.
