Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ruled out the possibility of the August 8 agenda-the Washington accords-failure.
"It is out of the question that the August 8 agenda will fail. I have made it clear, including in international forums, that it cannot be derailed, that peace is a reality, and that peace will become more institutionalized," Pashinyan said.
Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a peace agreement on August 8 in Washington, D.C.
On August 8, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed the Declaration on 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP) project in Washington. Point 4 of the Declaration, in particular, stipulates:
“ The Republic of Armenia will work with the United States of America and mutually determined third parties, to set forth a framework for the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) connectivity project in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. We confirm our determination to pursue efforts in good faith to achieve this goal in the most expeditious manner.”
