The Cypriot Foreign Ministry has provided details of the phone conversation between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Cyprus FM Constantinos Kombos, describing it as “constructive”.
“FM Constantinos Kombos held a constructive phone call with Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan, congratulating him on the signing of the Joint Declaration and initialing of the Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Inter‑State Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,’’ the Cyprus Foreign Ministry said in a post on X.
It is noted that he welcomed those historic milestones as significant steps towards ending decades of conflict in the South Caucasus.
“The Foreign Minister underscored Cyprus’ readiness to contribute to the peace process during 🇨🇾upcoming EU Council Presidency.
The Ministers reviewed Cyprus-Armenia bilateral relations, and discussed prospects for enhanced regional cooperation and economic integration,’’ reads the post.
