The occupation of some parts of the sovereign Armenian territory by Azerbaijan will be resolved as a result of the joint work of border delimitation commissions based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.
“Both we and Azerbaijan have the issue of occupied territories. And in these conditions of peace, we will resolve these issues reciprocally, in an atmosphere of agreement, based on the already defined, signed and ratified regulation of the joint work of the delimitation commissions and the Alma-Ata Declaration,” he said at a press briefing.
200 square kilometers of Armenian territory is currently under Azerbaijani occupation.
Pashinyan earlier said that some Azeri territories are under Armenian control and the two countries will resolve the matter through the delimitation and demarcation process.
