Deputy PM, new envoy discuss boosting Armenia-France trade

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has held a meeting with newly appointed Ambassador of France to Armenia Florian Escudié.

According to a readout from Grigoryan’s office, he congratulated the new envoy on his appointment and wished him success in his important work.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership with France for Armenia and expressed hope that the ambassador would contribute to further deepening this partnership.

The possibilities for intensifying trade and economic relations were discussed, and in this context, both sides emphasized the importance of the adoption of the EU’s temporary trade liberalization measures.

Views were exchanged on the possibilities of expanding the presence of companies with French capital in the Armenian economy.

Regional developments were also touched upon.
