Hours after US President Donald Trump’s ceasefire announcement, Israel said early Tuesday that Iran fired between 10 and 15 ballistic missiles, The Times of Israel reported citing the Israeli military.
Most of the missiles were intercepted, and one struck an apartment building in Beersheba, killing at least 4 and wounding others, according to the report.
BBC reported that Iran was also hit overnight, with explosions heard in Tehran. According to the BBC, the sounds of explosions stopped at 4 in the morning.
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a complete ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
But Iran’s foreign minister said there would be no cessation of hostilities unless Israel stopped its attacks.
Iran’s FM Abbas Araqchi said early on Tuesday that if Israel stopped its "illegal aggression" against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m. Tehran time (0030 GMT) on Tuesday, Iran had no intention of continuing its response afterwards.
