Iranian army says it is developing air defence systems with no equivalents in the world

The Iranian army is developing new air defence systems that have no equivalents in the world, according to Alireza Elhami, commander of the Islamic Republic’s Air Defence Force.

“New, fully domestically developed air defence systems are being designed and created. These projects are gradually being transformed into operational, ready-for-service weapons systems that have no known foreign equivalents,” the Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.

According to Elhami, one of the advantages of Iran’s air defence systems is that the enemy does not know their characteristics, capabilities or operating principles.

It is noted that after undergoing all necessary tests and procedures, the new air defence systems will enter serial production.
