A number of Armenian businesses have been experiencing problems with imports and exports amid the Iranian-Israeli conflict, the Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has said.
Papoyan was asked by a lawmaker in parliament on the fallout of the conflict in terms of Armenian businesses.
“There are a number of goods that are now at Bandar Abbas (Iran) port and haven’t exited it yet, a number of other goods are waiting on the roads. And we have problems with exports too, as well as the importers who are importing goods from Iran or via Iranian territory, they have numerous problems now,” Papoyan said.
There’s little Armenia can do at the moment, he said.
Papoyan expressed hope that the conflict will end soon and the Armenian businesses will be able to continue conducting trade through the territory of friendly Iran.
