Armenia and Lithuania sign action plan to strengthen cooperation between Internal Affairs Ministries

Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan on Monday received a delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Vladislav Kondratovich, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs has said in a statement.
Minister Sargsyan congratulated her Lithuanian counterpart on his appointment and emphasized the friendly relations between Armenia and Lithuania, as demonstrated by the level of interdepartmental cooperation.
She highlighted the importance of the "Support to Law Enforcement and Security Reforms in Armenia" program, funded by the EU and implemented by the Republics of Lithuania and Latvia, noting that financial investments under the program exceed 2 million euros.
Arpine Sargsyan briefed the delegation on the work carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its subordinate services within the framework of the program, presenting results achieved in specific areas.
The Lithuanian Minister, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and effective cooperation, highlighting the existing collaboration in both the law enforcement sector and the migration and citizenship services.
The parties discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, including visa liberalization, border management, police cooperation, and rescue services.
Both sides reaffirmed their willingness to expand bilateral cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the Chief of Armenian Police and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, along with Arūnas Paulauskas, Police Commissioner General of the Republic of Lithuania, signed the "Action Plan for Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation between the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia for 2025–2026."
