Armenia welcomes Gaza truce

Armenia welcomes the agreement on ceasefire in Gaza, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on X. 

“Armenia welcomes the agreement on ceasefire in Gaza which should ensure the release of hostages & captives of both sides, expressing our hope that it will be instrumental for guaranteeing the security of the Palestinian & Israeli peoples & paving the way for all-inclusive peace & stability in the wider Middle East region. The mediation efforts by the int’l community, especially by the US, Qatar, & Egypt, that led to this significant milestone, are highly valued,” the foreign ministry said. 

Israel and Hamas have agreed a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal following 15 months of war, mediators Qatar and the US said on January 15.
