Armenian Armed Forces on stand-by ready to withstand and destroy enemy attack - Major-General Arakel Martikyan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. The Armed Forces of Armenia are on stand-by and ready to withstand and destroy the Azerbaijani forces, Major-General Arakel Martikyan, the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces told foreign ambassadors during a meeting in Vardenis when asked whether or not they have fears of a new attack.

“There is no fear of an attack, but there is always alertness, and we are always ready and waiting. Because all of us in the military clearly realize that the adversary hasn’t fulfilled its objective and will try to attempt to solve the objective in its benefit,” the major-general said.

According to him, in an event like that the location of the positions, be it close or distant, has no military significance.

“We are on stand-by, we are ready to withstand and destroy the enemy,” the major-general said.
