Deputy Minister of Social Affairs says works are being done to provide support to families affected from Azeri attack

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 15, ARMENPERSS. The Single Social Service of Armenia is assessing the needs of families of servicemen wounded in the latest Azerbaijani attack, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Tatevik Stepanyan told a press conference in Armenpress.

“As a result of a person’s suffering wounds, his family appears in a difficult situation, so it’s necessary to assess the needs in order to provide support. If necessary, we direct services so that there are no gaps”, she said.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is carrying out a coordinated work with the provincial structures, communities to provide support to the families affected from the military operations. Tatevik Stepanyan said that the evacuation of residents of communities targeted by Azerbaijani shelling has been organized at a provincial level. Now citizens are provided with necessary assistance, such as food, clothing, shoes, within the frames of the social package.

“I assure that no citizen has been left outside, no issue has been left unanswered. If there are private cases, they can apply via a hotline. We are in constant touch also with our colleagues of the Office of Ombudswoman because citizens are also informing about their needs via the Office of the Human Rights defender. At this moment we do not have a call informing that a citizen has been left outside”, she said.
