Latvia's FM doesn't exclude Armenia-EU visa regime liberalization

YEREVAN, MAY 22, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics doesn’t exclude the liberalization of the Armenia-EU visa regime. As reports “Armenpress”, Latvia’s top diplomat reflected on the issue in an interview to the Russian Kommersant.

Among other things, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics underscored: “We give all our partner countries an opportunity of visa liberalization. We have recorded a distinct progress in our ties with Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are talking about visa facilitation with Belarus, not liberalization, although the legal texts are not ready yet.”

“If Armenia and Azerbaijan express a desire and comply with all the standards, I don’t see any obstacle for granting them such an opportunity. We already have visa free regime with Moldova,” Edgars Rinkevics noted.
