7 billion drams transferred to Hayastan All Armenian Fund, 60 projects implemented in  2023 -Haykak Arshamyan

YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS. Monetary and material donations transferred from local committees and individuals to the central accounts of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund during 2023 amounted to 7 billion drams.

Executive Director of the Fund, Haykak Arshamyan said during the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fund.

"During the same year, the fund implemented about 60 large and small projects worth 4.7 billion drams, or 12 million dollars.

"I would like to note that the comprehensive financial result in 2023 was positive, totaling 652 million 140 thousand drams, in contrast to the negative result of 2022, which was -864 million 977 thousand drams due to sharp fluctuations in foreign currency that year," he mentioned.

According to Arshamyan, the programs implemented during the reporting year were multifaceted, primarily located in regions and especially in border communities.

"The spheres were diverse: urgent humanitarian programs aimed at assisting our compatriots under siege in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as those for forcibly displaced people; 2 new apartment buildings in Gyumri; 14 private houses in Lernagog; and 6 private houses in Nerkin Khndzoresk. Additionally, there were numerous renewable energy projects, including solar photovoltaic plants in border communities and projects for round-the-clock water supply in settlements.

Educational projects included the construction of two kindergartens and the improvement of another, as well as the construction of a music school. Health projects involved the construction of two hospitals and an outpatient department. There were also socially important projects targeting various age groups and demographics; specific programs aimed at promoting culture, especially the art;  support provided to Armenian institutions in Lebanon and Syria and other initiatives," listed Arshakyan.
