YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS:An exhibition of Egyptian-Armenian art figures dedicated to renowned painter Byuzand Gojamanyan’s 100th anniversary opened at El Hanager Art Center of Cairo Opera House. It is conducted under the high patronage of Egyptian Culture Minister Faruk Hosni and with the support of Cairo’s circuit commission of Armenian General Benevolent Union. Press service of Armenian Foreign Affairs Ministry told Armenpress that next to B. Gojamanyan’s canvases the works of over a dozen of Egyptian- Armenian art figures dating back to the 19th century up to our days, including renowned painters Alexander Sarukhan, Yervand Demirchyan, Onik Avetisyan and Ashot Zoryan are presented. The primates of Egypt’s Armenian Apostolic and Katogike Dioceses, Armenian Ambassador to Egypt Armen Melkonyan, representatives of Egypt Culture Ministry, mass media correspondents, as well as the Armenian and Egyptian art loving society were present at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which was held November 23.
