Government allocates 300 million drams to the Tavush and Lori regions to address urgent problems

YEREVAN, MAY 28, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian government has decided to allocate a total of 300 million drams to the Tavush and Lori regions to address urgent problems in communities affected by floods. The relevant decision of the Armenian Government was published on the website e-gov.am.

Armenian Minister of Territorial Management and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan said in an interview to Public TV that 300 million drams will be used to solve urgent needs. "This money is intended for carrying out a number of urgent cases. The amounts will be added regularly, and it is still too early to talk about the total costs. We are talking about billions of drams," Gnel Sanosyan explained.

On May 26, due to heavy rains, floods occurred in a number of communities in Tavush and Loriregions, causing huge material losses, causing the collapse of roads and bridges. As a result of the floods, the number of victims has reached 4.
