YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory letter on October 28 to Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš on the country’s National Day, the Armenian PM’s Office told Armenpress.
The letter says:
“Your Excellency,
I warmly congratulate you on the national day of the Czech Republic – the Day of Statehood, wishing welfare and progress to the good Czech people.
2019 is a jubilee year for your country which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the creation of a statehood in a democratic way. The wave of peaceful transformation that launched in the Czech Republic three decades ago found its reflection outside its borders, putting a beginning to those peaceful democratic changes which we call a “velvet revolution”. We also adhere to these values in Armenia which was reflected in our country with the peaceful, velvet revolution one year ago.
I warmly remember our productive meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. I was delighted to receive your invitation to visit the Czech Republic which will give a good opportunity to discuss the prospects of friendly partnership between our countries, including within the frames of the EU’s Eastern Partnership”.
