PM chairs consultation on adoption issues

YEREVAN, AUGUST 16, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has chaired a consultation meeting on adoption of children.

The existing problems and risks regarding the adoption of Armenian children by foreign nationals or Armenians living abroad were discussed. Issues related to legislative regulations, procedural, registration, law enforcement and healthcare aspects of adoption were discussed.

The PM tasked relevant agencies to commence discussions and develop a draft decision on creating a task force which will carry out studies and make recommendations regarding legislative regulations.
